This photo series came about when once, during a hike, I started imagining a magical world of spirits and fairies living in the undergrowth of the Adirondack Mountains. The multimedia artist Tzintzun Aguilar-Izzo and I built the little houses out of cardboard and papier mâché. We then went together to hike one of the Adirondacks' many peaks and got lost in the woods. During our adventure, we gave the little houses to the forest spirits and managed to snap some pictures in the process.
